Overview
Brother products features print commands compatible with products of other manufacturers.
Depending on the case, this feature enables replacing a printer of another manufacturer without developing any program.
Commands Compatible with Printers of Other Manufacturers
ESC/P
Brother products support ESC/P commands.
For systems that print with an ESC/P command, setting a Brother product to ESC/P command mode enables printing labels.
Note that which ESC/P command is supported depends on each manufacturer. For details, refer to ESC/P command reference. Contact us if the reference does not solve your problem with printing.
ZPL/CPCL
Certain models are equipped with the ZPL/CPCL emulation function.
Please see the P-touch Template Manual for supported commands and other information.
Others
For products whose printer driver is available, using the printer driver may enable printing.
There are also printer drivers available for Windows, Mac, and Linux®. Refer to the support website.
