FAQs & Troubleshooting

I cannot connect to the Active Directory running on Windows Server 2003 using the LDAP feature. The error message "Server Time-out" appears on the LCD. What should I do?

Your Brother device supports only simple authentication. Encrypted authentication and SSL/TLS are not supported.

Please follow the procedure below to confirm and change the setting value on the Active Directory Server.

  1. Launch Domain Controller Security Policy from Administrative Tools.
  2. Select "Security Settings" => "Local Policies" => "Security Options".
  3. Set LDAP server signing requirements to "None" in Domain Controller.
  4. Reboot the Active Directory server.
