Make a two-sided copy of an ID card.

You can copy both sides of an ID card onto a single page, keeping the card's original size.

  • The machine's Paper Size must be set to Letter or A4.

  • You can only make one color ID copy at a time.

  • You cannot use the Watermark Copy, Book Copy, Sort,  Duplex Copy, Thin Paper Copy, Ink Save Mode or Enlarge/Reduce with the 2in1 (ID) feature.
Follow the steps below to use your Brother machine's 2 in 1 ID Copying feature:
  1. Press Copy.

  2. Place your ID card face down on the upper-left corner of the flat scanner glass.

  3. Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want to make.
    You can make up to 99 copies at once.

  4. Press the Left or Right arrow key to display Page Layout.

  5. Press Page Layout.

  6. Press the Left or Right arrow key to display 2in1 (ID). Press 2in1 (ID).

  7. Do one of the following:

    • Press Black (Mono) Start on the Brother machine to make a black and white ID card.

    • Press Color (Colour) Start on the Brother machine to make a color ID card.

    The machine starts scanning the first page.

  8. After the machine has scanned one side, press Yes.

  9. Turn over the ID card.

  10. Do one of the following:

    • Press Black (Mono) Start on the Brother machine to make a black and white ID card.

    • Press Color (Colour) Start on the Brother machine to make a color ID card.
