FAQs & Troubleshooting

I cannot receive a color fax. Why?

  • Make sure the person sending the fax has a fax machine capable of sending color faxes.

  • Replace the color ink cartridges that are empty or nearly empty, and then ask the other person to send the color fax again.

  • The machine can not receive a Ledger (A3) Color fax. When a Ledger (A3) Color fax is sent to your machine, your machine will receive either a Ledger black & white (A3 mono) fax or a Letter (A4) Color fax depending on the Receiving Priority setting.

The default setting is B&W(Max.LGR) [Mono(Max.A3)], so the machine cannot receive a color fax unless the receiving priority setting is Color(Max.LTR) [Colour(Max.A4)].

How to change the Receiving Priority setting;

  1. Press MENU.
  2. Press the up or down arrow key to display Fax.
  3. Press Fax.
  4. Press the up or down arrow key to display Setup Receive.
  5. Press Setup Receive.
  6. Press the up or down arrow key to display B&W/Color (Mono/Colour).
  7. Press B&W/Color (Mono/Colour).
  8. Press B&W(Max.LGR) [Mono(Max.A3)] or Color(Max.LTR) [Colour(Max.A4)].
  9. Press Stop/Exit.
