FAX-modem driver install

    The FAX modem driver lets you use your computer to send and receive faxes via your Brother MFC.
Step 1.
Please connect your MFC to your PC (running Ubuntu) with a USB cable.
Network connection is not supported.
Step 2.
Download the driver for your machine (brfaxmodem-x.x.x-x.i386.deb).
Step 3.
Install the driver.
 
Command: sudo dpkg -i brfaxmodem-x.x.x-x.i386.deb
Step 4.
Install efax from Synaptic Package Manager or APT.
Step 5.
Open "/etc/efax.rc" using a text editor.
 
Change "DEV=ttyS1" into "DEV=modem".
