# Installation procedure
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After downloading this program, follow the procedure below to install
P-touch Editor 5.0.
1. The downloaded file is compressed in the disk image (.dmg) format.
Double-click the downloaded *.dmg file.
A disk image is mounted onto the desktop.
The disk image contains the file "Start Here OSX".
2. Start up "Start Here OSX", and then follow the instructions
that appear in order to install the P-touch Editor 5.0.
# Notes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* If the disk image could not be mounted when the *.dmg file is
double-clicked, use Disk Utility, which is included with Mac OS X.
As a default (when Mac OS X was installed), Disk Utility was installed in:
Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities.
* Precautions if the previous version of the software is installed
If the software is being upgraded from the previous version, the previous version
must be uninstalled before this version is installed.
Follow the procedure below to remove the previous version of the software.
Uninstalling the P-touch Editor 5.0 software:
1.Double-click the [Uninstall P-touch]folder-[UninstallPtEditor.command].
[Terminal] window appears, and then uninstall operation starts.
* Administration rights is required for uninstall operation.
* In case [Terminal] window doesn't appear by double-clicking the
[UninstallPtEditor.command], right click (or control key + click)
the [UninstallPtEditor.command], context menu appears.
Open with the [Terminal] window from context menu.
2.Close the [Terminal] window.
3.Delete [Applications]-[P-touch Editor 5.0]folder.
* Before delete the [P-touch Editor 5.0]folder,
please check if any necessary file is saved in it.
P-touch Editor has been uninstalled.
* Compatible Hard Disk Formats
The UNIX File System (UFS) is not supported by this software.
Only install this software onto a Mac OS Extended (HFS+) volume.
HFS+ is the default file system format for Mac OS X.
To check the format of the volume (hard disk) to be used, follow the instructions below.
1. On the desktop, click the volume where Mac OS X is installed, and then press
the Command + I shortcut keys to display information about the volume.
2. Choose General Information from the submenu, and then check the format displayed beside Format.
