How to Download and Install

Notes:

Notes (For Windows Vista®/ Windows® 7Users):

  • If the User Account Control prompt is displayed, click "Continue".
  • If the Windows Security alert prompt is displayed;
    -for Windows Vista® users: click Install this driver software anyway..
    -for Windows® 7 users: check Always trust software from "Brother Industries, ltd." and click Install.
     
  1. Disconnect your Brother machine from your computer if you already connected an interface cable. 
  2. Make a temporary folder on your HDD [hard disk drive] as the location to save the downloaded self-extracting file, e.g. C:\brodnt
  3. Download the file to the temporary folder.
  4. Once the download is complete, open the folder and double click on the downloaded file to extract it.
  5. Open "install\xxxx" folder. (where xxxx = model name)
  6. Double click "Setup.exe".
  7. Select your language with reference to the language list and click "OK". 
    Notes:
    If the error message "An error occurred during the installation. ... ." appears, please make sure that you double click the "Setup.exe" in the correct folder in Step 6.
  8. The installation will start. Please follow the installation screen directions.
