Fax Problem - Troubleshooting

Settings

• When I do a broadcast, the resolution is not the same as the resolution I saved in the scan profile of a group member. Why?

Cannot Send

• When I send a fax from the machine, an error "not register." or "not registered." is displayed.
• I am using Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and cannot send and/or receive faxes.
• I am experiencing problems sending a fax.

Cannot Receive

• I am having a problem receiving faxes.
• Why doesn't the machine answer when receiving a call?

Cannot PC-FAX

• The rainbow cursor keeps spinning when I click on Copy/PC-FAX in ControlCenter2 (For Mac OS X 10.7).
• I'm using Windows® 2000 and Windows® XP. I want to use a name from my address book to send a FAX. The address book is stored on a network share and when I try to access the address book I can not open it.

Fax Quality Problem

• White spots or black spots at 94 mm (3.7 in.) intervals
• Toner specks
• Clean the scanner to improve the copy or fax quality.
• Envelope creases
• Wrinkles or creases
• Black toner marks across the page
• White lines down the page
• White lines, bands or ribbing across the page
• White lines across the page
• When receiving a single page fax, why does the fax print on two pages or a blank sheet ejects afterwards?
• The faxes I send are always received with a black vertical line down the page.
• Gray background
• Page skewed
