Scan Problem - Troubleshooting

General

• When I scan a document using ControlCenter, the scanned file size is too big.

Cannot Scan

• The error message "No Supported Devices Found" appears when I tap the Brother iPrint&Scan icon on my mobile device ( iPhone, iPod touch, iPad ).
• Unable to print or scan when using Brother iPrint&Scan from my Windows® Phone 7 mobile device.
• Unable to print or scan when using iPrint&Scan from my Android mobile device.
• I cannot find the destination computer on the network when I try to scan a document using the machine's Scan key.
• When I try to scan a document using ScanSoft™ PaperPort™ 11SE, I can not scan from the ADF (automatic document feeder) with WIA driver.
• I am sharing my Brother machine. I can print but cannot scan.
• The error message "xxxx cannot be found. ... (CC3-202-03031b02)" appears when scanning a document using ControlCenter3 on Windows® 7 with the USB connection.
• I can print but cannot scan via network. (For Macintosh)
• I can print but cannot scan via network. (For Windows®)
• When I try to scan to OCR I get an error message saying "This feature is not available because there is no OCR Software installed".
• I cannot scan via network getting the error "CC031" or "MTW012". (Mac OS X)
• I cannot scan via USB. (Mac OS X)
• I'm using Windows®. When I try to Scan to E-mail I get an error saying "the command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using". What should I do?
• I cannot use the Scan to E-mail with Outlook2003 or Outlook2007 after updating ControlCenter3. The error message "command line argument is invalid" appears. What can I do?
• I'm using Windows® XP Professional x64 Edition/ Windows Vista® 64-bit edition. I'm unable to scan from Corel® Paint Shop Pro® X using the WIA driver.
• I'm using Windows® XP and I'm trying to use the Scan key on the Control Panel.  The LCD says "Connecting to PC" but nothing happens.
• When scanning to OCR from ScanSoft™ PaperPort™ 11SE, the following error message appears: "System error incurred in external Link module EZText.g32. The OCR server is unable to process the document". I have Windows® XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed.
• When scanning to OCR from Brother Control Center3, the OCR application doesn't launch. I have Windows® XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed. What should I do?
• I am trying to use a Brother driver from the CD supplied with the machine or downloaded from the Internet, and I cannot scan from Windows Server® 2003, Windows Server® 2008, Windows Server® 2008 R2, or Windows Server® 2012.

Scan Quality Problem

• The scanned image is blurred, garbled, or distorted when using ControlCenter2 or the SCAN key on my Brother machine. (For Mac OS X 10.5)
• When I scan the document with using ScanSoft™ PaperPort™ 11 SE , the bottom of the document is cut off. What should I do?
• When I try to OCR into WordPad using ScanSoft™ PaperPort™ 11SE with OCR or Brother ControlCenter3, the text comes out as gibberish. This started after I installed Windows® XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).
