Error Messages (LCD, PC) or LED Lights - Troubleshooting

Error Message on LCD

• I still receive the error message "Change Drum Soon" after I replace the drum unit with a new one.
• I just replaced the toner cartridge and the LCD continues to display the message "Toner Low" / "Replace Toner" / "Toner Life End" or the Toner LED is still on or flashing.
• The back cover is securely closed, however the message "Back Cover Open" is displayed on the LCD. How do I clear this message?
• How can I clear the "Drum Error" or the "Dust on Drum" error message on the LCD?
• "Paper Jam Inside" error appears on the LCD. What should I do?
• "Paper Jam Rear" error appears on the LCD. What should I do?

LED Indication

Error Message on PC Display

• When installing the Macintosh OS X printer driver it displays a message that you need to type your password to install this software.
• The message "xxxxxxx.xxx can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer." appears on OS X v10.8.x. (where xxxxxxx.xxx is the file name.)
• The error message "IS052 InstallNetworkDriver" appears when installing the MFL-Pro Suite from the CD-ROM or the Full Driver & Software Package is downloaded from the "Download" section.
• The error message "Invalid format for short nick name" appears when printing a document. (Mac OS® X 10.5 or greater)
• I'm using Windows® 8. I insert the CD-ROM supplied with my machine into my PC's CD-ROM drive, but the error message "This CD does not contain drivers for your computer operating system." appears.
• I'm using Windows® 7. I insert the CD-ROM supplied with my machine into my PC's CD-ROM drive, but　the error message "This CD does not contain drivers for your computer operating system." appears.
• The error message "xxxx cannot be found. ... (CC3-202-03031b02)" appears when scanning a document using ControlCenter3 on Windows® 7 with the USB connection.
• The error message "An error occurred during the installation. ... . IS015- GetOsVersion - 1" appears when installing the Full Driver & Software Packages for Windows® 7 downloaded from the "Download" section.
• When I try to scan to OCR I get an error message saying "This feature is not available because there is no OCR Software installed".
• I cannot scan via network getting the error "CC031" or "MTW012". (Mac OS X)
• I'm using Windows®. When I try to Scan to E-mail I get an error saying "the command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using". What should I do?
