Driver/ Software/ Firmware/ Operating System - How-to FAQ's

Install

  • Download and install the printer driver for Mac OS X.
  • Install the Windows® 8 built-in drivers.
  • Supported models of Universal Printer Driver for BR-Script (PostScript language emulation)
  • Add my Brother machine using Mac OS X 10.5 or greater.

Uninstall

  • Uninstall the drivers. (Mac OS X 10.6 or greater)
  • Uninstall the drivers. (Mac OS X 10.5)
  • Uninstall the drivers. (Mac OS® X 10.2 - 10.4)
  • Uninstall the printer drivers (For Windows®)

Settings

  • The Brother machine's copy icon (for example: Brother XXX-XXXX (Copy 1)) exists in the Devices and Printers. (For Windows®)
  • Change the printer driver settings (For Mac OS X)
  • Change the printer driver settings (For Windows®)

Operations

  • Open the Status Monitor
  • Use the Universal Printer Driver for BR-Script. (PostScript language emulation)

Management

  • Check the kind of printer driver installed by connecting the USB/ Parallel cable.
  • Download a file from the "Downloads" section and save it to Windows® 8 computer.
  • Open the Control Panel (For Windows®8)
