Scan Problem - Troubleshooting

General

  • When I scan a document using ControlCenter, the scanned file size is too big.

Cannot Scan

  • When I try to scan to OCR, the error message "This feature is not available because there is no OCR software installed, or your machine does not support it." appears.
  • I cannot scan via USB. (Mac OS X)
  • I cannot use the Scan to E-mail with Outlook2003 or Outlook2007 after updating ControlCenter3. The error message "command line argument is invalid" appears. What can I do?
  • I'm using Windows® XP. I cannot scan with the USB cable.
  • I'm using Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. I cannot scan after installing the scanner driver.
  • I'm using Windows® XP and I'm trying to use the Scan key on the Control Panel.  The LCD says "Connecting to PC" but nothing happens.

Scan Quality Problem

  • The scanned image is blurred, garbled, or distorted when using ControlCenter2 or the SCAN key on my Brother machine. (For Mac OS X 10.5)
