If the pop-up dialog does not appear, refer to the following:

• Check that the power is ON.
  
  
• Check that the USB cable is correctly connected.
  
  
• [For PT-1230PC/2430PC]
  Check that the Mode selector switch on the back of the P-touch labeler is set to "EL" mode.
  
  [For QL-700]
  Check that the Editor Lite lamp is lit. If not, press and hold down the Editor Lite button until the green Editor Lite lamp lights up.
  
  
• Check that the operating system on your PC is Windows® XP, Windows Vista® or Windows® 7.
  
  

  Note

  The pop-up dialog box auto-run function does not work on Windows 2000.

• Is it the first time the labeler has been connected to your PC?
  
  When you connect the labeler to your PC for the first time, you may encounter a time out by the Windows Shell Hardware Detection service, for example if a process of driver load is delayed finding the labeler or it takes a long time to assign the drive letter.
  
  <The solution>
  Turn off the labeler and disconnect the USB cable from your PC, then reconnect and turn on the labeler again. You only need to do this process once, and the pop-up dialog box will then appear every time the labeler is connected.
  
  
  
• Even though your PC is supported by Windows® XP, Windows Vista® or Windows® 7 , the pop-up dialog box may not appear depending on the PC environment.
  
  

  <The solution>

  1. Select My computer and  P-touch(*:) or QL-700(*:) (for Windows® XP, Windows Vista® and Windows® 7) or Removable Disk (for Windows2000).
  2. Choose PTLITE10.EXE and double click to start P-touch Editor Lite.
