What is the ControlCenter4? (For Windows®)

Description:

ControlCenter4 is a software that gives you quick and easy access to many functions such as Scan, Photo Print and PC-FAX of your Brother machine directly from your computer screen, and lets you configure your machine's settings easily. Please note that not all Brother machines support the Photo Print function or PC-FAX function.


ControlCenter4 is included on the CD supplied with your Brother machine, and installed automatically during initial setup. If you do not have the CD, you can install ControlCenter4 by using Full Driver & Software Package in the Downloads section.


How to start ControlCenter4:

If you see the "CC4" icon in the task tray, double-click the icon.

Note

For Windows® 7 or later Users:

If you find the Show hidden icon button on the taskbar, click Show hidden icon button and check if the "CC4" icon is showing.

If you do not see it, start ControlCenter4.

(Windows® 2000 / Windows® XP / Windows Vista® / Windows® 7)
Click Start or Start (Start button) => (All) Programs => Brother => XXX-XXXX (your model name) => ControlCenter4. The ControlCenter4 window will open and also the "CC4" icon will be in the task tray.

(Windows® 8 or later)
  1. On the Start screen, right-click somewhere on an empty spot (1), and then click, All Apps from the bar (2).

  2. Click Brother Utilities.

  3. Click ControlCenter4.
    The ControlCenter4 window will open and also the "CC4" icon will be in the task tray.

How to change the user interface:

ControlCenter4 has two user interfaces: Home Mode and Advanced Mode, and you can choose the one suit your needs.
  • Home Mode:
    The Home Mode is a simple and user friendly interface, and you can access your machine's basic functions such as Photo Print, Scan and PC-FAX. Please note that not all Brother machines support the Photo Print function or PC-FAX function.

  • Advanced Mode:
    The Advanced Mode is for advanced-level users. In addition to the features available in Home Mode, you can configure more detailed settings of your machine's functions. You can also create up to three customized tabs to store your original and preferred settings.
To change the user interface,
  1. Click Configuration and then select Mode Select.

  2. Select Home Mode or Advanced Mode in the dialog, and click OK.

How to check the ControlCenter4 version:
  1. Click "CC4" icon in the task tray, and then select About.

  2. You will see the ControlCenter4 version in the upper right.
