You can use your machine as the local printer with the LPT1: port by installing the printer driver into your PC.

You can download the printer driver from the "Downloads" section on Solutions Center. Choose "Add printer Wizard Driver" for your OS and install it by following the instructions there.

You can install the printer driver from the supplied CD-ROM. Follow the instructions below to install it.
For Windows® 95/98/98SE/Me users:

Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your PC. If the menu screen appears, close it by clicking on the "Exit" button.

Click [Start], [Settings], [Printers] and the [Add Printer] icon. Then click on Next.

Set Local printer for the target printer and click on Next.

Click on [Have Disk], [Browse] and select the "CD-ROM" from the Drivers: drop down menu.

Choose the folder of your language.
Note
This option may not appear depending on your model.

Click on the W9x folder and then the Addprt folder.

Click on OK.

Click on OK.
- Select your model name from the list and click on Next.
- Make sure that LPT1 is selected as Printer Port and click on Next.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Finish.
For Windows® NT/2000 users:

Insert the supplied CD-ROM into your PC. If the menu screen appears, close it by clicking on the "Exit" button.

Click [Start], [Settings], [Printers] and the [Add Printer] icon. Then click on Next

Set Local printer for the target printer and click on Next.

Make sure that LPT1 is selected as Printer Port and click on Next.
- Click on [Have Disk], [Browse] and select the "CD-ROM" from the?directory.
- Choose the folder of your language.

Open the folder of your OS.
For Windows® NT users= NT40
For Windows® 2000 users= W2K
- Open the Addprt folder.
- Click on Open.
- Click on OK.
- Select your model name from the list and click on OK.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Finish.

If "Digital Signature Not Found" appears, click on "Yes" to continue the process.
Test print a document.
