I have two fax machines on one line. My Brother machine answers the faxes that I send from the other machine.

Description:

If you have two fax machines one the same telephone line, one machine may receive faxes sent from the other.

If your Brother machine is intercepting the faxes you send from the other machine, follow these steps to turn Easy Receive off:


  1. Press Fax.

  2. Press Menu/Set.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax and press Menu/Set.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Setup Receive and press Menu/Set.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Easy Receive and press Menu/Set.

  6. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Off and press Menu/Set.

  7. Press Stop/Exit.
