I have two fax machines on one line. My Brother machine answers the faxes that I send from the other machine.

Description:

If you have two fax machines one the same telephone line, one machine may receive faxes sent from the other.

If your Brother machine is intercepting the faxes you send from the other machine, follow these steps to turn Easy Receive off:


  1. Press the Fax key.

  2. Press Menu, 2 (Fax), 1 (Setup Receive), 3 (Easy Receive).

  3. Press the ▲ or ▼ key to select Off.

  4. Press the Set or OK key.

  5. Press the Stop/Exit key.
