Unable to print or scan when using iPrint&Scan from my Android mobile device.

Description:

You can print your images (JPEG or PDF), PDFs, Web Pages, plus scan from the document glass or auto document feeder of your Brother Machine. Not all machines support scanning.


In order to print or scan using the Brother iPrint&Scan app, you must ensure that the Brother machine is connected to the same wireless network as the Android Mobile device. The machine can be connected either wirelessly or by using a wired network connection to a wireless access point. (The available connection type will vary by model.)


Please refer to the initial setup instructions for help connecting the Brother machine to your network.


PART1: RESET WIFI


The screens may differ based on your Android device. For assistance navigating your device, please contact the manufacturer.

  1. Choose Settings.

  2. Choose Wireless & Networks.

  3. Turn OFF WiFi (Uncheck the checkbox)

  4. Turn ON WiFi (Check the checkbox)

  5. Test print or scan using iPrint&Scan again. If still not able to print or scan, then continue to PART2.

PART2: CONFIRM IP ADDRESS


  1. Open iPrint&Scan.

  2. Click Setting icon.

  3. Click Printer.

  4. Verify that there is an IP address for your Brother machine.
    You can find your machine's IP Address or Node Name by printing the Network Configuration List.

    Note

    If your machine is not listed, then there is no communication between your Brother machine and your Android Mobile Device:


    - Ensure that the Brother machine is on the same network with the Android mobile device. You must be connected using an Infrastructure network connection.


    - Cycle the power on your Android mobile device and search again. You may have to wait a minute or more for the machine to appear.


    - Cycle the power on your Brother Machine and search again. You may have to wait a minute or more for the machine to appear.


    - If your PC is connected your Brother machine and Android mobile Device to the same network, check the connection by print from your PC to your Brother machine.
    If you can not print from your PC, solve the problem by refer to "I cannot print from my computer via network".
    If you can print from your PC, uninstall and reinstall the Brother iPrint&Scan app from the Google Play.



  5. Choose the Brother machine again.

  6. Attempt to print or scan again.
