Connection : Failed (Error : TS-01) on the WLAN report

The error code TS-01 means the wireless setting is not activated.

Error code on WLAN report


Follow the steps below to turn the wireless setting to ON.


Confirm your connection.

If a LAN cable is connected to your machine, disconnect it.

Disconnect LAN cable



Choose the network connection type.

*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For touchscreen models" below.

  1. Press the MENU key.
  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Network.
  3. Press the OK key.
  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Network I/F.
  5. Press the OK key.
  6. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose WLAN.
  7. Press the OK key.
  8. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
<For touchscreen models>

  1. Press MENU on the touch screen.
  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Network. (This step might be skipped in some models.)
  3. Press Network.
  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Network I/F. (This step might be skipped in some models.)
  5. Press Network I/F.
  6. Press WLAN.
  7. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
