How can I clear the "CHECK CARTRIDGE" error message?

  • The ink cartridge may not be installed correctly. Reinstall the ink cartridge.

  • Make sure that you have removed the sealing tape from the side of the ink cartridge.

  • Power off your Brother machine for several minutes, then power it back on again.

 

 

Hint

Brother has developed a Firmware Update Tool that improves the efficiency of the cleaning cycles and alters the programmed time of the cleaning cycles from 11:00 pm to 11:00 am. Improving the efficiency of the cleaning cycles will extend the life of the ink cartridges when there is very little use of the machine or a particular color ink cartridge.
