Check the wireless status on the WLAN report

Description:

You can verify your machine's wireless status by the WLAN report. If the wireless connection failed, check the error code and coping method on the printed report.

To print the WLAN report, refer to "Print the WLAN report".


Check the Connection column listed at the top of the WLAN report.

Your Brother machine is successfully connected to a wireless network.

Connection : OK

If the wireless connection failed with "Connection : OK" status, check the following points.

  • If Encryption method is "WEP":
    The Network Key you entered might be wrong. Reconfirm the Network Key.

  • If your Brother machine is used in Ad-hoc mode:
    Your computer might not be connected to SSID (Network Name) configured in your Brother machine. Reconfigure the Brother machine and your computer in Ad-hoc mode. Click here for more details on how to configure in Ad-hoc mode.

  • If the WLAN access point/router supports advanced features:
    If your WLAN access point/router supports multiple SSID, privacy separator, or MAC address filtering, these features might block communication between your Brother machine and other wireless devices. Click here for more details.
