How to adjust your Brother machine's paper type settings:

To get the best print quality, set your Brother machine for the type of paper you're using.

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the up or down arrow key to select General Setup.
  3. Press OK.
  4. Press the up or down arrow key to select Paper Type.
  5. Press the left or right arrow key to select the paper type you want to use.
    - You can select Plain Paper, Inkjet Paper, Brother BP71, Other Glossy, or Transparency
  6. Press OK.
  7. Press Stop/Exit.

How to adjust your Brother machine's paper size settings:

When you change the size of the paper you load into your Brother machine, you must also change the machine's Paper Size setting.

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the up or down arrow key to select General Setup.
  3. Press OK.
  4. Press the up or down arrow key to select Paper Size.
  5. Press the left or right arrow key to select the paper size you want to use.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Press Stop/Exit.
