How can I clean the inside of the printer?

Caution

Do NOT use any type of spray to clean the inside or outside of the machine. Doing this may cause a fire or electrical shock.

 

 

Clean the inside of the printer as follows:

 
  1. Turn off the printer power switch and unplug the printer from the AC power outlet.
  1. Open the front cover of the printer.
  1. Pull out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.

Caution

  • After you have used the printer, some internal parts of the printer are extremely hot! Wait for the printer to cool down before you touch the internal parts of the printer.
  • Do not use flammable substances when cleaning the machine. Doing this might cause a fire or electrical shock.

  1. Wipe the Scanner Window with a dry, lint-free cloth.

  1. Put the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back in the printer.
  1. Close the front cover.
  1. Plug the printer back in and turn on the printer power switch.
