Changes to the server computer settings are not adopted by the client computer automatically after the shared printer is installed on the client computer. Refer to one of the methods described below to change the client computer's paper settings.
Method 1. Specify the paper settings individually on the client computer.
Method 2. Reinstall the shared printer on the client computer after specifying the paper settings on the server computer.

- Open the printer screen.
- For Windows® XP:
Click the "Start" button, go to [Printers and Faxes] window. Right click the printer icon of your P-touch, and then click [Properties].
For Windows Vista®:
From [Control Panel], go to [Hardware and Sound] and open [Printers]. Right click the printer icon of your P-touch, and then click [Properties].
For Windows® 7:

, go to [Devices and Printers]. Right click the printer icon of your P-touch, and then click [Printer Properties].
For Windows® 8:
Click [Control Panel] in the [Apps] screen - [Hardware and Sound] - [Devices and Printers]. Right click the printer icon of your P-touch, and then click [Printer Properties].
- On the client computer, click the [General] tab in the printer Properties dialog box, and then click the [Printing Preferences…] button to open the Printing Preferences dialog box.

- In the Printing Preferences dialog box, specify the paper settings.
- Click [OK] to close the Properties dialog box.
Method 2. Reinstall the shared printer on the client computer after specifying the paper settings on the server computer.
- Open the printer screen.
- For Windows® XP:
Click the "Start" button, go to [Printers and Faxes] window. Right click the printer icon of your P-touch, and then click [Properties].

From [Control Panel], go to [Hardware and Sound] and open [Printers]. Right click the printer icon of your P-touch, and then click [Properties].

- On the server computer, click the [Advanced] tab in the printer Properties dialog box, and then click the [Printing Defaults…] button to open the Printing Defaults dialog box.

- In the Printing Defaults dialog box, specify the paper settings.
- Click [OK] to close the Properties dialog box.
- Delete the shared printer from the client computer.
- Reinstall the shared printer on the client computer.
The paper settings from the server computer are adopted by the client computer.
