Title:
Print data from the Clipboard in Brother iPrint&Scan when using an iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

Description:

Please ensure that you have the latest version of the iPrint&Scan app installed in order to use all available features.

Choose one of the following options depending on your device:


NOTE: Illustrations and instructions may vary depending on the version of the application you are using. We recommend you use the latest version to take advantage of all the features supported.


For iPhone and iPod touch Users:

You can directly print data, such as photos, text, and selected portions of web pages, that is copied to the Clipboard by other applications.

  1. Use the desired application to copy the data to the Clipboard.

    Note

    For assistance with copying the data to a clipboard, view the mobile device or application documentation.
  2. Tap the Brother iPrint&Scan icon on the Home screen.

  3. Tap Clipboard. The data in the Clipboard will be loaded.


  4. Depending on the data, a thumbnail preview of the page appears. Pages marked with a check mark will be printed. Tap the page and remove the check mark if you do not want to print that page.

    Note

    - Tap Select All or Deselect All to select or deselect all pages.
    - You can enlarge the thumbnail by tapping image, and reduce by tapping image.

  5. Tap Done.

  6. Confirm the image on the print preview screen.

    Note

    - Tap the screen to hide or show the operation buttons.

    - You can view different pages in a multi-page text or web pages by flicking left or right.

  7. Tap image. The Print Settings screen appears.

  8. Make sure your machine is chosen.

    • If your machine is chosen, continue to STEP 10.

    • If a different machine is chosen or if Device Is Not Selected is displayed, make sure your machine is turned on and then tap the displayed Printer name or Device Is Not Selected. Continue to STEP 9.

  9. The application will search your network and display a list of available machines. Tap your machine from the list and then tap Print Settings.

  10. You may change any of the print settings as desired. Once the settings have been configured, or if you do not want to change any settings, tap Done and continue to STEP 11.

  11. Tap Print. The machine will start printing.

For iPad Users:

You can directly print data, such as photos, text, and selected portions of web pages, that is copied to the Clipboard by other applications.

  1. Use the desired application to copy the data to the Clipboard.

  2. Tap the Brother iPrint&Scan icon on the Home screen. If the screen for another function is displayed, switch to the Clipboard print function by tapping Clipboard.

    The data in the Clipboard will be loaded.


  3. Confirm the image on the print preview screen. Depending on the data, a thumbnail preview of the page appears at the top of the screen. To view a page, tap its thumbnail.
    Pages marked with a check mark will be printed. If you do not want to print a page, tap its check mark to remove the check mark.

    Tap image and then Select All or Deselect All to select or deselect all pages.
  4. Tap Settings. The Print Settings screen appears.

  5. Make sure your machine is chosen.

    • If your machine is chosen, continue to STEP 7.

    • If a different machine is chosen or if Device Is Not Selected is displayed, make sure your machine is turned on and then tap the displayed Printer name or Device Is Not Selected. Continue to STEP 6.

  6. The application will search your network and display a list of available machines. Tap your machine from the list and then tap Print Settings.

  7. You may change any of the print settings as desired. Once the settings have been configured, or if you do not want to change any settings, tap outside of the Print Settings screen to close the screen.

  8. Tap Print. The machine will start printing.
