I receive an error message when trying to use network functions.(For Windows®)
You may see an error message or cannot locate your Brother machine on a network. (the error message varies by your Brother machine or operating system.)
For Windows® 95/98/98SE/Me/NT Users:

If you are connected to a DHCP server, you cannot set the same IP address to allocate to other devices on the network. For instructions on how to configure it properly, please contact your network administrator.
Retry using the network functions. If the problem still continues, there may be another cause, please refer to "FAQs & Troubleshooting" for other information.
