Title:
I'm using Windows® XP and every time I run the scanner and camera wizard, the settings revert back to the default settings.

Description:

This problem will occur if you are using the Microsoft® Windows® XP WIA scanner driver. This is an issue with the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system and at present, Microsoft® does not have a solution for this problem when scanning with a WIA driver.


To avoid this problem you can use the "TWAIN" scanning driver. You can select the TWAIN scanning driver from the "Select scanning source" option from within most scanning application programs.


Below is an example of the steps needed to select the TWAIN scanning driver in Microsoft® Word.

  1. Select Insert from the menu.
  2. Select Picture and Scanner or Camera.
  3. Insert Picture from Scanner or Camera dialog comes up.
  4. You can choose the TW-Brother XXXXXXX.
